Update Remembrance

DiCenzo – Guy Francis, 85, of N. Fort Myers, FL formerly of Medford, MA entered eternal rest peacefully
on February 27, 2024. Devoted husband and best friend to Ingrid (Martinsen) DiCenzo for 61 years.
Loving father of Kimberly & Patrick Fitzpatrick and Noelle & Vincent Giacchetti. Proud grandfather of
Alexa & Vinessa Giacchetti and Justin & Taylor Fitzpatrick.
Guy was born in Boston, MA on October 31, 1938 to the late Frank and Mary DiCenzo of Medford.
He enlisted in the Armed forces in 1959 for 2 years stationed in Germany and then later traveled back
there where he met the love of his life, Ingrid, on a train to Copenhagen. They married after a three
week courtship. Guy was a general contractor for over 50 years and spent his retirement
in southwest Florida full-time. You could always find him every day sitting in his favorite chair on the
lanai soaking up the sun and spending time with his beloved wife. They were
inseparable. A hard-working family man with a heart of gold. A “man of few words” and stoic, but
always concerned about the well-being of others. He loved traveling, and his family will cherish
memories of their vacations together. So fortunate to have a wonderful dad and grandfather.
He will be greatly missed by many. By the request of the family, the interment service will
be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joslin Diabetes Foundation.
