   Joseph C. Kennedy, 42, of Saugus, died August 7, 2008, after a courageous and long-fought battle.

He was the beloved husband of Amy (Fletcher) Kennedy; father of Leah Kennedy; son of Marie and Charles Kennedy of Waltham; brother of Martin Kennedy, husband of Ellen, of Winchester, Diane Buckley of Norwood, Charles Kennedy of Middleton, Marie McAvoy, wife of Tim, of Waltham, Kevin Kennedy, husband of Beth, of Sudbury, Carol Bersaw, wife of Dan, of Great Barrington, Steven Kennedy, husband of Holly, of Maryland, and Donna Clossey, wife of the late Phil, of Waltham; son-in-law of Sandra McNeil, wife of David, of Malden and Thomas Fletcher, husband of Gayle, of Danvers; brother-in-law of Donna Strong, wife of Brian, of Saugus; and uncle of many loving nieces and nephews.
 
His funeral will be held Thursday, August 14, at 9 a.m. from Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Route 28), Stoneham, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday, August 13, 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be available.
