Linda J. (Macfadden) Davison, age 60, of Lynn, lost her long battle with cancer on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Linda was the devoted mother of Valerie Occhipinti and her husband Rich of Newton, NH. She was the best of Grammies to Jake and Mia Occhipinti, having taught Jake so much. Linda was a very special sister to Leigh Girvan and her husband Bob of Plymouth, MA. She was predeceased by her husband George J. Davison, Jr.
Linda worked as head cook for many years at Swampscott High School before retiring due to her illness.
Linda loved animals. In addition to her own cats, Ms. Ed and Fred, she was always caring for strays.
Linda enjoyed gardening and took special pride in her flower gardens, especially her many rosebushes. Her green thumb was evident to her many friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Service in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, on Thursday, July 24 at 10 AM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. In Linda’s memory, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
