   Reverend Fr. Maurice V. Connolly, 82, of Cambridge, died on Thursday, July 24 at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada on February 14, 1926, he was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret M. (Holloran) Connolly.

Reverend Connolly was a graduate of Guysborough Academy and was also a graduate of St. Francis Xavier in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Class of 1950. He came to the United States in 1951. In 1956 he entered St. John's Seminary in Brighton, and was ordained by Cardinal Cushing six years later in 1962. One of his assignments had been St. Joseph Church in Wakefield. His last assignment was at St. James in Salem. Once retired, Reverend Connolly lived at the Youville House in Cambridge, and was recently transferred to St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham.

Reverend Connolly was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by two brothers, John R. Connolly and his wife Isabel of Peabody and Joseph B. Connolly of Toronto, Canada. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reverend Connolly was predeceased by his brother James, Donald and infant twin brother Myles Connolly and his sister Marie Chisholm.

Reverend Connolly will lie in state at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the church on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
