   Michael A. Gravallese, age 81, of Tewksbury formerly of Everett, died Thursday, August 21st at the Saints Medical Center in Lowell, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband for sixty years of Mary (Lombardo) Gravallese. Born in Boston's North End he was the son of the late John and Amelia (Romano) Gravallese.

Mr. Gravallese was raised and educated in Everett and worked as a materials controller for the Polaroid Corp. in Waltham for 26 years. Mostly devoted to his loving family he enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. He was also an active parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Andover where he was a member of the choir. Over the years he was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus in both Andover and Tewksbury.

In addition to his late parents, Michael is predeceased by his sons, Michael Jr. and John Gravallese. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary, and their son Steven Gravallese and his wife, Irene, of Peabody. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Raquel and Christopher Gravallese. He is further survived by his brother John Gravallese, of Salem, and a sister, Louise Lanciani, of Yarmouth Port.

His funeral will be held from the Dello Russo - Cavanaugh Funeral Home , 374 Main St., Wilmington, Monday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Rd., Andover, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to American Heart Assoc. 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
