<p>Peabody - Richard D Robillard, 71, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Thursday January 6 at the Lahey Clinic in Peabody. He was the devoted husband of Annette (Yee) Robillard with whom he shared over 44 years of marriage.<br />Born in Newport, VT, he was the son of the late Omer and Anita T (Belleville) Robillard. He was raised and educated in Malden and graduated from Malden High School, class of 1969. He has lived in Peabody for the past 43 years.<br />After graduating from high school, Rick enlisted with the United States Air Force and served for 4 years before his honorable discharge in 1973. In 1983, he started his 25-year career as a Peabody Police Officer and gradually moved up in rank and retired in 2008 as detective in the CID department.<br />After his retirement he enjoyed his continued camaraderie and gatherings with his fellow officers and retirees at area restaurants for breakfast. He later enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and sharing in all their activities.<br />Besides his loving wife Annette, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Serey Robillard of Tewksbury, his brother, Renald Robillard of Derry, NH and by his beloved two grandchildren, Mia and Myles Robillard. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Marie Robillard and Rachel Bishop.<br />Rick's Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.</p>
